Round 2 of USST
Challenge Series O'reilly Raceway Park O'reilly Raceway Park hosted round two of the USST Challenge Series. This was the first trip JWR had made to the tricky half mile. Jess was fairly quick off the trailer. After a few adjustments, he was turning the fastest laps in practice. Qualifying, however, fell a little short only timing in second place. Jess took the green flag in the 4th starting spot, after an inversion of the top 5. He quickly advanced to 2nd position. He dropped back to 4th on lap 12 , after the handling started to fade. With 15 laps to go, the two leaders tangled up, moving Jess back to 2nd. The last 10 laps Jess tried to maneuver around the leader. He fell short, settling for 2nd. " I just missed the set-up" was all Jess could say after the race. Thanks to everyone involved for this weekend: J&D Chassis, The Wrap Masters, C.W. Williams Garage Inc. My parents and crew.
